Ten tested prompts for clay-render isometric icons and miniature scenes — devices, buildings, tiny rooms — plus the style sentence that keeps a whole set looking like one family. Every card shows the unedited output.
An isometric icon prompt is two sentences doing two different jobs. The first names the object and its details: “a small clay-render coffee machine with a chrome portafilter and a tiny cup on the tray”. The second is the style sentence, and it never changes across the set: “isometric 3D icon, 45-degree view, soft matte clay materials, rounded edges, pastel palette, soft studio light with a gentle shadow, plain off-white background, centred with generous margin”. Everything that makes a set feel like a set lives in that second sentence.
Say “isometric” and “45-degree view” explicitly — left alone the model drifts into a straight-on product shot or a dramatic low angle, and the set stops matching. “Rounded edges” and “soft matte clay” are what produce the Blender-style look that dominates modern app and SaaS illustration; swap them for “low-poly flat shading” or “glossy plastic with rim light” and the same object lands in a different visual world. All ten icons below are unedited first outputs generated on BananaBanana, most of them on Lite at $0.03.
Freeze the style sentence and vary only the object clause. This sounds obvious and is the single thing people get wrong: they rewrite the whole prompt for each icon, the palette wanders, one icon comes back glossy and another matte, and the set never quite locks together. Copy-paste discipline is the technique.
Two extras help. Name the palette in actual colours — “pastel palette of cream, sage, soft coral and pale blue” — rather than leaving it to chance, and keep the background wording identical so the icons crop the same way. If one icon still comes back off-style, don't re-prompt from zero: generate it again with the same text, or edit the closest good result. And because these are raster images, drop them into your UI with a transparent-background pass or on the same off-white card they were generated on.

Object clause changes, style clause never does. Copy the same “isometric 3D icon, 45-degree view, soft matte clay, rounded edges, pastel palette…” tail into every prompt in the set — that repetition is what makes ten separate generations look like one icon pack.
Without it the model slides into a front-on or hero angle within a few icons and the grid stops matching. It's the cheapest consistency insurance in the prompt.
Screens, cards and shopfronts attract invented lettering, and generated text is almost always malformed. “Blank screen with no text”, “no signage”, “unbranded panels” keeps icons clean and usable.
Icons get cropped into circles, squares and cards downstream. Generating with visible padding around the object means you can crop later instead of regenerating.

Read the guideNot directly — the models output an opaque image, which is why every prompt here specifies a plain off-white background. Removing it afterwards is a one-click job in any editor, and clay-render icons on a flat background cut out cleanly because the edges are soft but well separated.
